Technicians from Zoom Tech Automotive have served the North Shore area for more than two decades. Our owner, Brett Gioe, started his first auto repair business in 1994, and established Zoom Tech in 2003 to provide Mandeville and the surrounding communities with an honest and reliable auto repair shop. Our goal is not just to fix cars, but to repair the reputation of the automotive service industry as a whole.
We can handle just about any repair or maintenance service at Zoom Tech, including state inspections and detailing. In most cases, we can get cars in and out the same day. For business owners, we also do some fleet work.
FROM THE OWNER, BRETT GIOE
"Growing up, there were several mechanics in my family, and my grandfather owned a service station. I spent lots of time with my dad and brothers at the garage, and enjoyed being around cars as well as the people working on them. Soon, I found I was a natural at fixing vehicles myself, starting at about the age of 15—and I haven’t looked back since.
"After graduating from Holy Cross High School in New Orleans, I went on to the Automotive Institute of Business and Technology, where I earned my degree with honors. I then worked for a dealership before receiving a job offer from a locally-owned auto repair shop when I was 21. I worked there until 1994 when a friend and I partnered up and opened a shop on the North Shore. After three years, I decided to go out on my own, and eventually opened Zoom Tech in 2003. I’m proud to say I still have many of the same customers that first came to me 20 years ago."
MEET OUR AUTO REPAIR TEAM
Brett Gioe, Owner
Brett has continuously worked in the auto repair industry as a technician or service writer since graduating from the Automotive Institute of Business and Technology in New Orleans. Now as a shop owner with more than 30 years of experience, he continues to stand by his work and do right by his customers. In his spare time, Brett coaches little league football in Covington, and is an active member of Grace Harbor Family Church.
Trey Rainey, Production Supervisor
Trey has been with Zoom Tech for about four years, and brings more than 30 years of auto repair experience to our shop. For decades, he’s been working on cars, motorcycles, and even boats. Trey is well-known in the Mandeville community, and is very social in the shop and out on the town.
Matthew Nicholas, Master Technician
Matthew has worked for Zoom Tech over the last 10 years. He is a GM Master Technician and has extensive diagnostic expertise. He is the go-to guy for problems that most people can't fix. He also has 20 years of experience.
